Overview:

Milieu Design owner Andrea McCulloch’s problem wasn’t with her product – the quality and artistry of her high-end furniture was undeniable – the problem was convincing buyers of that fact with only line art. With a major national exhibition fast approaching, Andrea needed a way to show off her product line to full effect. Also, some of the furniture pieces had unique features – such as expandable newel posts – that were difficult to engineer.

Q Dimension had the solution. We aided Andrea in finalizing the product drawings as well and rapid prototyping the line in an impressively quick turnaround, creating 25 models for the tradeshow debut. The detailed nature of the models impressed both the designer and the buyers; features such as raised and recessed paneling and intricate carving were accurately portrayed. Q Dimension also made working prototypes of the pieces with expandable features, which facilitated successful engineering.

The project turned out to be an excellent tool, both in pre-production planning and in sales for the client.
